Term 2 Week 10
Principal's Report
What a term!
I am not sure how we packed it all in, but Term 2 certainly boasted many exciting ventures and projects…From athletics carnivals, Mother’s Day events, National Simultaneous Storytime and Vision testing to Swim Scheme, Band concerts and a Kindy Science Day, the term has certainly been very busy.
Phew! No wonder we all feel exhausted and in need of a break.
Thank you all for your ongoing support and please stay safe over the Winter break!
Playgroup Expression of Interest
As mentioned in the last newsletter, we are restarting our now famous playgroup.
The playgroup will be held on Wednesday mornings at 9:00am and is a great opportunity for our preschoolers to have fun with other children while becoming accustomed to our school and playground.
If you are interested in attending could you please complete the following Expression of Interest at https://forms.gle/XWZrvaDJtUj8a3Ec9
Have a happy and safe break.

Kindy Scientists

This term in Science, Kindergarten have been learning about forces. In Week 9 they put their knowledge to the test by designing and making a toy they could push or pull. It was very exciting to be working together as a team in the hall.
Students showed their creative side and enjoyed sharing and playing with their toys after the designing and building process.
Thank you to all the families who saved their recyclables and donated them for us to use. They were very handy!
Look at their amazing creations!

MC Violet
This week, Violet have been learning about horses.
The children have written some great sentences, including noun groups and prepositional phrases.
They have enjoyed exploring the features of horses, such as their strong legs, flowing manes, and powerful hooves. The students also participated in fun writing activities where they described horses in different settings, like 'the tall horse in the grassy paddock' or 'the gentle pony beside the wooden fence.'
It’s been wonderful to see their creativity and language skills developing so strongly!

Feature Creatures
On Monday 30th June, we were thrilled to welcome the team from Feature Creatures to our school. What an incredible day it was!
The visit captivated all students across all year levels. They were fully immersed in hands-on activities and face-to-face encounters with a wide variety of native animals.
From curious Mini Beasts to fascinating reptiles and amphibians, the interactive show gave students a rare opportunity to observe animal behaviour up close, ask questions, and learn in a truly engaging way.
The experience not only sparked excitement but also inspired our students to better understand and care for Australia’s native creatures. By exploring animal habitats, life cycles, and the importance of biodiversity in our ecosystems, the session supported meaningful learning that ties beautifully into the curriculum.
A huge thank you to Mrs Chivers and the Feature Creatures team for bringing the wild to us. Judging by the smiles and stories shared afterwards, this was a definite highlight of the term!

Sydney West Cross Country Carnival

On Thursday 26th June, four of our students participated in Sydney West Cross Country Carnival at the Equestrian Centre, Horsley Park.
Congratulations to Nathan, Tye, Hudson, and Charli who participated and thank you to parents/carers for the transportation, as without this we would not have been able to offer such an exciting opportunity.

- checking the Team email account
- following the meeting schedule for requesting agenda items, preparing meeting papers, and recording the minutes
- maintaining the member register and volunteer register
- assisting other P&C roles with documentation if needed, e.g. to notify our insurance company in preparation for P&C events. Note: there are templates and processes set up to help streamline these tasks.
